who am I: about Indira1

I am Indira, the face and hands behind the indistudio.gif (551 bytes). I love to create something different, eyecatching design which are appropriate to what I want to say or convey. I take this same approach when designing for my clients.

  • Won fibreart commission competition: designed and produced a tapestry for the Etobicoke Hydro building lobby
  • Designed and created one-of-a kind fibre pieces for sale and exhibits and produced commission work.
  • Served on various executive committees and boards.
  • Volunteer at Arts Etobicoke and the Museum for Textile (served on the planning committee of Kaffe Fassett World Touring Exhibition).
  • Donated fibreart pieces to support funding initiatives for the Arts.
  • Exhibited work at shows including Etobicoke City Hall, Metropolitan Toronto Reference Library & Ship Center in Toronto, Canada.
  • Have had extensive print and television media coverage of my achievements. 
  • Invited by Etobicoke and North York School Boards as an artist to provide visual art workshops to teachers and students
